With Brett Favre back will the packers still be able to win the division?

(No I don't mean me) It's been reported that an old geezer is threatening not to return to the NFL this year. Anybody buying it? I understand the Vikings are offering a transport chair and walker to try and change his mind.

Wes posted on facebook that new work schedules require some shifting of production. Here's the quote:
Quote Yeah, we're going to be doing the show. We're trying to figure out when we will record this year because there have been some significant changes in our work schedules, but we'll get it worked out. We're going to Family Night this weekend, so maybe we'll do something while we're there. Pictures at the very least, but maybe we'll record something while we're there. It's in a Green Bay Packer Nation post about home schedule. |

Mike Davidsen wrote an article about the Packers' top strengths and weaknesses going into the new season. Thought we might want to discuss it here.
What do you think? What are our greatest strengths and our areas of greatest need? |

I would agree with you John. I think Quarless makes Lee expendable, but only if Quarless can make the transition to the NFL. It looks like he has the skills, but they still haven't put on pads yet.

Hope so. I know spring and summer are intensely busy for the guys, but I thought we might have heard something by now since training camp is almost upon us.

I would consider myself a moderate baseball fan. On one hand, I watch every single Dodger game (living in Santa Barbara) and know a lot about the team. On the other hand, I don't watch any non-Dodger games and don't lose any sleep over a lost game (like I do with the Pack).
Though we're currently 5.5 back from San Diego, I think there's a 50/50 chance we make the play-offs, though if we do I don't see us getting out of the first round. I like Billingsley and especially Kershaw as young pitchers, but they are wildly inconsistent. Even though we won divisional round series the last two years w/o one, I feel a serious playoff contender needs a true ace and a strong number two, and we don't. Offensively, we are also too inconsistent. Outside of Furcal, Kemp, Ethier and Loney, we have a pretty average offense at best. And don't get me started on Man-Ram. I suppose two teams will make the play-offs from the powerhouse AL East, and I would pick one of those two to take the Series. You can't count out Philly (as much as I hate them) from the NL, as Halladay-Hamels is a formidable 1-2 punch and their offense can be great when Utley gets back. |

I'm not sure if anyone here follows baseball but i was wondering that as we come up to the all star break what teams do you guys think will make it to the playoff's. i'm pretty sure it wont be my team the mariners since they are trading questionably the best pitching in baseball Cliff Lee, and they can't hit the broad side of a barn. So what do you guys think about your teams?
